This exquisite French 19th Century Ebonised Display Cabinet is a magnificent example of fine craftsmanship and design.

The cabinet features an elegant ebonised finish with intricate brass inlay and ormolu decoration, highlighting the luxurious details of the era.

The display cabinet is supported by reconstructed bun feet and corner pieces, adding to its structural integrity and aesthetic appeal.

With glass panels on the doors, this cabinet beautifully showcases its contents while maintaining a sense of sophistication.

Project Restoration Details:

We restored this beautiful French 19th century ebonised display cabinet for our customer in Paddington, Brisbane.

The restoration process included reconstructing the base and the bun feet, ensuring stability and a polished appearance.

We replaced the glass panels to enhance the clarity and display quality of the cabinet.

All the brass inlay and ormolu were meticulously polished, bringing out their original shine and detail.

The top of the cabinet was filled with veneer pieces where needed and refinished in ebonised black to match the rest of the piece.

We also reconstructed corner pieces and the bottom of one of the pillars, ensuring the cabinet’s structural integrity.

The entire cabinet was polished, and all missing pieces of veneer were filled, restoring it to its former glory.

We provided pick-up and delivery services, ensuring the safe transportation of this valuable piece.
