Project Restoration Details

We restored this beautiful French 19th century ebonised display cabinet for our customer in Paddington, Brisbane.

The restoration process included reconstructing the base and the bun feet, ensuring stability and a polished appearance.

We replaced the glass panels to enhance the clarity and display quality of the cabinet.

All the brass inlay and ormolu were meticulously polished, bringing out their original shine and detail.

The top of the cabinet was filled with veneer pieces where needed and refinished in ebonised black to match the rest of the piece.

We also reconstructed corner pieces and the bottom of one of the pillars, ensuring the cabinet’s structural integrity.

The entire cabinet was polished, and all missing pieces of veneer were filled, restoring it to its former glory.

We provided pick-up and delivery services, ensuring the safe transportation of this valuable piece.
